THE ALMY LIBRARY
GUIDE TO CHICAGO MANUAL OF STYLE CITATIONS
models for citing an ebook with four or more authors
Footnote
1 Firstname Lastname et al., Title of Book (Place of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication), page number, Name of Database or Type of Media, access date, URL.
Bibliography
Lastname, Firstname, Firstname Lastname, Firstname Lastname, and Firstname Lastname. Title of Book. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year of
Publication. Name of Database or Type of Media. Access Date. URL.
Note
For the footnote state the first author in the list and follow with et al. (which means "and all the others"). Be careful with the punctuation - there is no period after et! For the bibliography, state all of the author’s names. Additionally, if you are listing a "Type of Media" (this would be an ebook reader, like a Kindle), you do not need an access date or URL.
